Obama flip-flops. The "lurch" in detail

There has been a lot of talk this week about Obama's sudden lurch to the right. While it is fun to watch his supporters run around waving their hands in the air and crying, we must not become too complacent.

Most of this week's accusations of flip-flopping have been a little weak on substance. Guns, no real change, but we can still throw it in there to add to the count. The same holds true for abortion, death penalty, and NAFTA. I wish we had stronger claims for a "lurch" to the right on these, but maybe if we keep bringing them up no one will really notice.

The biggie is FISA. Hopefully, no one will notice that the bill in question was passed in the House and not in the Senate. They also might not notice that Obambi said he was still against immunity and would work to remove it in the Senate version. Don't give up, guys and gals, keep pounding on this one. It's our best shot.

Start pounding on Iraq, too. There are indications that Obambi might actually consider changing circumstances or ask for advice on how to proceed from people that actually know something about the situation. We can't let this happen without an accusation of pandering to the wingnuts. After all, we don't want another Bush. GWB was all about nuance and changing strategy to match the situation. Keep pushing the idea that Obambi will be just like Bush.

After reviewing that list, I really only see one that has any real claim to truth - FISA - and that one is still playing out. I think we need to start pushing some new ones. I've compiled a list for you.

During the primary, Obambi turned down a cup of coffee for a glass of orange juice. This was a pure pander to the health nut crowd. Well, I've just gotten word from a trusted source that Obambi was observed drinking a cup of coffee on his plane. That is a "real" flip-flop we can pin on him. Make sure to spread this far and wide.

Another recent flip-flop was observed at a campaign stop in Montana. Barry was seen eating pancakes at a diner in Butte. Now we all remember Obambi's strong stance in favor of waffles during the primary. He can't be allowed to get away with this. Attack him on this point every chance you get.

In case you are worried that we don't have anything to back up our claims of flip-flopping, we have just obtained a photo sent from an Obambi event. We will be posting this on our web site, obamaistheantichrist.com as soon as we figure out how to upload images. In this damning photo, Obambi can clearly be seen scratching his face with his right left hand. Since we all know he used his left right hand when he scratched his face flipped Hillary the bird, this is solid evidence of a flip-flop on his part.

One last big one that I really, really think we should push. During a speech at Del Sol High School in Las Vegas on January 11th, Obambi was wearing a light-colored tie with a small pattern on it. I have seen the photos. Since then he has been observed wearing a red tie. This is a HUGE flip-flop. It shows he is pandering to the Red Staters. We must push this information out to the public. He cannot be allowed to move this far to the right.

There you go. Get busy spreading this information in every diary and on every site you can find. We must get the truth out about this dangerous man.

Go get'm PUMAs!!!!!!!!

HERE IS THE PROOF!!!!!!!!!

If it wasn't snark, the diary would certainly be worthy of a troll-rating.

Re: flip-flops. (1.00 / 2)

Flip-flops are what I'm going to be wearing this weekend.

As a political phrase, I'm happy to consign it to the Ash Heap of Overused Metaphors. Especially since it always seems to be used against Democrats every cycle, while hardly ever being used against Republicans for far more egregious reversals and hypocrisy.

Re: You mean (1.00 / 2)

It began by you piling on the TR's anytime I posted a comment, joining spunkmeyer, rage kage, spacemanspiff and the rest of the Obamaton TR patrol in joyously censoring my opinions.

How can it end?  It's probably too late for that.  I guess a start would be to apologize for each and everytime you TRd me  without cause and falsely labelled me a republican.  However, that would run into hundreds of apologies, and I doubt you have the time to write them nor I to read them.

The die is cast, most likely.  We've chosen our sides.  You with the O'fabricator and I with my Progressive values (I'll find a candidate, somewhere out there).

"O'fabricator"

That's sort of why you get TR'd.  It's not impossible to disagreee civilly.

Re: Heh. (none / 0)

No, it wasn't aimed at you. It was actually aimed at all of us for buying into the latest outrage of the week. I got tired of pushing back against the "lurch" claim. I decided to see if I could be more effective with some snark.

I'm not sure what I enjoy more; the favorable comments (good for the ego), the ones from people that don't like it, but can't figure out how to criticize it (love to frustrate them), or the comments from the people that don't catch the snark. If I had to choose I'd say the last one.
